ITALIAN WEDDING SINGER FOR PAUL AND LORENZA

One of the most important parts of our wedding day was the music. We wanted to create a lively, upbeat ambience from the beginning of the day. As my family are Italian and my husbands’ English it was important for us that we were able to have a mixture of both music types for the day. A lot of family were coming from Italy and all our family here would really love to hear some traditional Italian wedding songs. So we searched the Internet and I came across Luca. His repertoire was great, lots of Rat Pack, Sinatra style music- just what we wanted, but no Italian. So I dropped him an email, and going by his name, asked if he sung in Italian, describing what I wanted.

From the first telephone conversation with Luca I was filled with confidence. Although he had never sung in Italian before he was excited and eager to create an ITALIAN SHOW for 2008. He described to me his plans and how he would go about organising it. This was about 18 months before the wedding day. I sent Luca a list of song that I wanted sung, and I’m not talking about current pop music - some of these were old tradition Napolitano songs - like ‘Finiculi Finicula’.

We felt we'd really took a big chance with Luca. We'd never seen or heard him sing live and he was learning about 10 songs just for us, but every time I spoke to him I just knew that he would be great! When I was worrying about things like- “Will he be too loud?” “Could people talk?” “Will he be standing on a stage and therefore would people just be watching him?”..... With all of these things he put my mind at rest. So the weeks leading up to the big day Luca spoke of his plans, the orders of songs and what he felt would be best. You could just tell that he was a professional and knew exactly what he was on about.

We hadn't told anybody about Luca, it was our surprise. So when we had all just sat down for a meal, he stood up and started singing ‘That’s Amore’ (By Dean Martin), as we'd requested. He was excellent. The look on my mum's face was priceless. I will never forget it. For the next two hours or so, Luca sung a mixture of Italian, Sicilian and Italian/American Swing songs. He had organised it perfectly, with a few upbeat songs to start the day off. Then a few more laid back ones, changing from English to Italian. Then again something lively - we were all up and dancing and Mum loved ‘Finiculi Finicula’ - he sung it perfectly! As he did them all. No one could believe he had only learnt these songs for us!

The Italian Show went down a storm! Absolutely everyone loved him. Nan was tapping her foot to Sinatra and the Italian family we singing along to some Italian classics. He built excellent report with everyone, involving the guests but not dominating the wedding. It was just perfect - just what he told us it would be. Luca said to us when we first contacted him that people would be talking about the Italian shows for a long time after.... he was true! Everybody who was there commented on how great he was and they are still talking about it now....

We had DJ Sally for the evening and again everything was faultless. Her selection of music was completely on target and she kept the dance floor packed all night. Again, a complete professional. We whole heartedly thank Luca and Sally for putting the extra bit of magic into our special day. We would sincerely recommend them to anybody looking for that something a bit special. We will be calling on them again for future parties - without a doubt. A big huge GRAZIE Luca and Sally!
